At the Eagle and Child Ramsbottom, we’ve always been about serving up the finest Lancashire pub grub with fresh local and seasonal ingredients. We’ve always focussed on sustainability, local and seasonal produce. Our food takes time to prepare and cook, so ‘slow service’ is where you expect your food to arrive quickly. We’re not a fast food outfit, so we politely request that guests allow for dishes to be prepared and food to be cooked. We are a training business, so things take a bit longer, but we also prepare all dishes from scratch. If you are very hungry or in a rush, advise us.

Please allow 2 hours for an enjoyable 2-3 course meal with us.

We’ve now put together a fabulous VEGAN and VEGETARIAN menu, which we hope will appeal to all palates!

We’ve a great reputation for our food having won ‘Best Food Pub’ twice in the Manchester Food and Drink Awards, as well as a host of local and national plaudits.

Winner of Lancashire Life’s ‘Family Friendly Dining’ venue of 2017, we have a great food offer for kids too and are family friendly until 8pm! After 8pm, we request that older children only (10 years and older) are in the bar and dining areas. If you have children and would like us to ‘speed up service’, then please let us know and we will do our best to do so, to allow you to relax!

FACTS + INFORMATION ABOUT OUR FOOD

We are not a fast food restaurant, so please ensure you visit us with enough time to ensure your food can be prepared with love and care! Dishes can take up to 40 minutes during busy periods, but we are more than happy for you to ‘pre-order’ in advance if you are on your lunch hour! We suggest that you allow 2 hours for a dining experience with us…
  • When it’s gone, it’s gone! Dishes may change without notice due to availability and seasonality. We have additional daily dishes on our specials board. We have a limited number of these and they will sell out during busy periods.
  • An intimate and bespoke Sunday Lunch. We have a smaller set menu which is different every week. This is complemented with specials and pub classics available. The full a la carte menu is not available on a Sunday.
  • All veg and no meat? We cater for Vegan diners and those with dietary requirements. We have a full Vegan and Vegetarian menu, which we feel is one of the best in the area!
